Apple Security Advisory 2011-06-28-1 – Multiple vulnerabilities exist in Java 1.6.0_24, the most serious of which may allow an untrusted Java applet to execute arbitrary code outside the Java sandbox. Visiting a web page containing a maliciously crafted untrusted Java applet may lead to arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the current user. These issues are addressed by updating to Java version 1.6.0_26.

Lulz Security, the group that claims to have been behind the massive computer hacks suffered by Nintendo, Sony, some FBI affiliates and the U.S. Senate, has announced it is disbanding. Known primarily as Lulzsec, the group has been on what they are referring to as a “50-day cruise” of hacking everything it could, whether the sites were government, corporate or public-related.
A statement attributed to Lulz Security, which has tormented the computer systems of corporations and government agencies for 50 days, says it is calling it quits.
Lulz Security, the hacker activist group claiming credit for breaking into websites at Sony Corp., the U.S. Senate and the Central Intelligence Agency, said it’s ending a wave of cyber attacks that began almost two months ago.
Lulz Security isn’t giving a reason for deciding to suspend operations 50 days after it first started hacking attacks.
