{"id":914,"date":"2010-08-23T03:04:08","date_gmt":"2010-08-22T20:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/?p=914"},"modified":"2010-08-23T03:04:08","modified_gmt":"2010-08-22T20:04:08","slug":"first-computer-virus-that-spanair-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/first-computer-virus-that-spanair-flight\/","title":{"rendered":"First Computer Virus that Spanair flight?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanair plane crash that killed 154 people two years ago on Friday may have been partly caused by malware, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>The newspaper\u00a0<em>El Pais<\/em> <a title=\"The computer scoring Spanair aircraft failures had virus - El Pais (Google translation)\" href=\"http:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?js=y&amp;prev=_t&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;layout=1&amp;eotf=1&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.elpais.com%2Farticulo%2Fespana%2Fordenador%2FSpanair%2Fanotaba%2Ffallos%2Faviones%2Ftenia%2Fvirus%2Felpepiesp%2F20100820elpepinac_11%2FTes&amp;sl=es&amp;tl=en\">reported on Friday<\/a> that Spanair&#8217;s mainframe was contaminated with Trojans at the time that Flight JK 5022 to Gran Canaria\u00a0<a title=\"Spanair Flight 5022\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/JK_5022\">crashed just after take-off<\/a> at Madrid&#8217;s Barajas airport.<\/p>\n<p>The mainframe was supposed to raise the alarm when three similar technical problems were noted, but did not do so due to the infestation,\u00a0<em>El Pais<\/em> said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, investigating judge Juan David Perez has ordered Spanair to turn over the relevant data.
