USB Drive doesn\u2019t install daemon application nor modify any USB settings. Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) is active as well as iTunes synchronization and tethering over USB.<\/span><\/span><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Drive+iTunes<\/span>:<\/strong> <span>In this mode USB Drive replaces PTP interface with Mass Storage interface and let you use iPhone as USB Drive. At the same time you can perform iTunes synchronization, developers can use XCode debugger, etc. In this mode USB Mass Storage will not work on Windows with iTunes or Apple USB Drivers installed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Drive only<\/span>:<\/strong> <span><span>This mode is to resolve compatibility issue with Windows and iTunes. In this mode USB Drive changes iPhone device USB product ID. This will prevent iTunes synchronization, but USB Mass Storage will work on Windows (and other operation systems of course). Switching to the Default or Drive + iTunesmodes restores iTunes sync.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_0955-200x300.PNG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border: 0px initial initial;\" title=\"IMG_0955-200x300\" src=\"http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_0955-200x300.PNG\" alt=\"IMG_0955-200x300\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_0956-200x300.PNG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border: 0px initial initial;\" title=\"IMG_0956-200x300\" src=\"http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_0956-200x300.PNG\" alt=\"IMG_0956-200x300\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>Everytime you select a mode you will be prompted for reboot to active the new mode that you had chose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Note: In case you dont want to use your iPhone as Pendrive, so to free that space you can delete the partition, just by swiping on the drive name that you created.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>It works perfectly on all 3modes, I also tested on Ubuntu and it worked like a normal pendrive though Data-Transfer rate was not that good, but its good.<br \/>\nThis is great tweak it really took so long.
