A San Marcos man who admitted keeping sexually explicit images and videos of children on his iPod digital music player has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.<\/p>\n
Thirty-nine-year-old Ron James Guzman pleaded guilty Thursday to nine counts of child porn possession and six of child porn promotion.<\/p>\n
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott says Guzman also pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one of indecency with a child in a plea deal in a separate case.<\/p>\n
The sentences in both cases will run concurrently for a total prison term of 40 years.<\/p>\n
Abbott’s office said Friday this was the first case it investigated in which an offender used an iPod to store child pornography.<\/p>\n
