An old version, back in the years allowed to use a java nessus client on MacOS 8.5 or 9. The only work around was the use of fink or darwinPort to run a GUI with X11, but only the console version was available without any 3rd party extension.<br \/>\nThings now changed<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nessus is a great up to date vulnerability scanner running a client-server architecture. We posted few months ago[url=http:\/\/deepquest.code511.com\/blog\/comments.php?id=P146_0_1_0_C]running in 20 steps on OSX[\/url]  a how to run nessus with [url=http:\/\/darwinports.opendarwin.org\/]Darwin Port[\/url].<\/p>\n<p>Finally someone took care of developing a Nessus client called MacNessus.
