Hacker pretends to be Axl Rose and Cancels Guns N Roses Tour Via Twitter
Axl Rose + Twitter has always looked like recipe for disaster, but he really served up a humdinger yesterday when Guns N Roses singer suggested that all of the band’s upcoming tour dates may be cancelled.
Tweeting late last night, the singer’s message simply read “All upcoming Guns N’ Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds”, which clearly throws doubts over the band’s October show at the 02 Arena as well as their scheduled appearance at this month’s Reading and Leeds Festival.
Now, you may have noticed that we keep saying ‘might’ and ‘maybe’ in this article. That is because, like all stories that revolve around the internet, this could all be hearsay, falsehoods and weird sick jokes. The fact that no one has officially stepped forward, and that Sky reports that the band’s guitarist DJ Ashaba tweeted after the news that he was the proud owner of a new Smith and Wesson rather than commiserating the millions of disappointed fans, sort of has us thinking. But only time will tell, right?
UPDATE – Axl Rose Twitter has been hacked
Well what did we tell you? According to Twitter Axl Rose has had his account hacked by some prankster. Everyone with Reading/Leeds tickets can breathe out and relax – Guns N Roses are still playing.
Huh huh huh, pretty funny joke right? Please guys stop believing and accepting everything from social communities.
