Posted by deepquest on June 3, 2003 – 6:44 pm

Want to connect your toothbrush, coffee machine, or even fan to your usb port? Get ready to buy a usb hub and connect all those usb gadget to computer.

usually USB (1 or 2) was created to be able to connect “a la” hotplug some devices such mouse, keyboard, cd burners etc… In fact many other products can be connected to your computer, would it mean that you’re life is organised around a computer? Humm Maybe!

-The USB hot cup:

Yes it works on OSX since it will only use the electricity from your usb port, no need of drivers.
buy it from Dream Come True

-The USB toothbrush:

Still waiting for the bluetooth version! Same, this device will work without drivers on OSX.
get from Akiba.

-The USB light:
There’re many usb lights now available on the market: check Belkin.com

get it from The gadgeteer for $24.95.

Feel to submit you’re usb gizmos, the only rule is that they have to run OSX like those I posted. Most device use the electrical power from the usb port, the computer doesn’t need any control on the device so no drivers!
