Biggest hacker attack in Slovak history

Slovak Telecom (ST) has suffered the biggest leak of personal data in the history of the country after a group of hackers penetrated ST’s computer network.
Unknown hackers managed to access ST’s internal e-mail system and also got hold of two-year-old data, including a complete list of ST’s customers with their telephone numbers.

In an official statement, ST said the hackers’ attack “did not endanger any communication activities of ST’s clients, as measures were taken almost immediately after discovering [that someone] broke into the internet network”.
