Thirty-nine per cent of financial institutions reported security breaches last year, according to a new survey.
he 2003 Global Security Survey by Deloitte and Touche Tohmatsu reported that of these attacks, 16 per cent were from an external source, 10 per cent were internal, and 10 per cent comprised both internal and external security breaches.
he survey was compiled from interviews with 175 senior IT executives in banks and financial services companies.
